Species: Capybara And Kingbirds | Location: Araras Ecolodge, Brazil
On a visit to the Pantanal with Nat Hab, we came across this scene at our eco-lodge in Araras. We were on a walkway beside a pond covered in vegetation. Several capybaras ambled in the pond amid the vegetation, eating. One carried hitchhikers: two kingbirds (I think). The kingbirds flew on and off the capybara's back repeatedly, hunting insects in the vegetation. As they did, the capybara ambled and dined, unperturbed.
