This photograph was taken at Brooks Falls, Alaska in July 2021. A mother bear was catching salmon as they migrated up Brooks River while her two cubs stood watching. When she caught a salmon, she would bring it over and show them how to eat it. They watched intently, but did not attempt to join her in eating what she had caught.
