Exploring markets is always a fascinating snapshot into the lives of locals. The fruit stalls are far more photogenic than the butcher shops, but all tell stories. This lucky image of a young girl wrapped on her mother's back in front of a backdrop of fruit brings to my mind the children's song, "Apples and Bananas". Children see the world so differently from adults; I often wonder if their eyes see more than ours. Travel, and children, remind me that our world is an incredible place and reconnect me with the awe that we take for granted most days.
