Species: Bengal Tiger | Location: Kanha National Park In Madhya Pradesh Central India, India
This Bengal Tiger seemed to be a cat on a mission, walking right past our jeep in the early morning hours in Kanha NP & Tiger Reserve on November 21, 2023. He was unfazed by the jeeps that moments earlier scrambled into position along the road. He stopped to sniff the tree, reacted with a grimace known as the "Flehmen" response, then disappeared back into the forest.
About The Photographer
I am an accomplished photographer, non-professional, and owe much of my ability to self-study and engagement with the professional photographers and other travelers I've met on Lindblad and NatHab trips. Mostly I photograph landscapes, wildlife, and moments that I want to capture during my travels. Since my retirement as a pediatrician, global travel has been a passion for my wife Bonnie and myself. I use my favorite photographs to create a personal photo journey book after each adventure, and to share in travel articles that I write for our local newspaper. Many of these adventures formed the basis for the "Buddy the Globetrotter" tales I have authored as a juvenile fiction series for middle school and advanced readers.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards! You can vote once per day, and each time you vote you’ll be entered for the chance to win a $500 Visa Gift Card or a $500 WWF Donation.
