Scavengers On Hippo Carcass
Species: Spotted Hyena, White Headed Vulture | Location: Linyanti Private Reserve, Botswana
At Linyanti Private Reserve in Botswana, we got up early to check a hippo carcass we had spotted the previous evening. There was considerable activity, including vultures, hyenas, jaguars and hornbills. By the time we left a few days later, there was nothing left of the hippo.
