Location: Camp Toka Leya, Zambia: Nearby Village, Zambia
Made a cultural visit to a local village near Toka Leya in Zambia. A member of the community led us throughout the village presenting information about daily life there as well as answering questions. She did a remarkable job using English so we could understand. I was humbled by her skill and graciousness. At the end I had the pleasure of purchasing handmade items from members in the community. I loved getting a picture with one of the young artisans. Isn’t she beautiful?! Loved the colors in her wares. I enjoy looking at my treasures reminiscing about the wondrous Nat Hab adventures enjoyed.
About The Photographer
Hi! I’m Patricia Baker. I’m not a photographer. I simply stand amazed at all of God’s creation. I use a Canon Sureshot 50x magnification or my Apple iPhone 13. I aim and click to capture all the beautiful landscapes, diverse nature, and fascinating people and cultures I’ve observed in the hopes of recalling glimpses of all the magnificent experiences I have been privileged to enjoy when I am confined to the beauty within the confines of my own home. I also hope to use my picture memories to create mini watercolor pencil sketches of the spectacular Nat Hab adventures I have enjoyed with my husband. Thank you Nat Hab team and traveling partners for creating all the beautiful memories I treasure immensely.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards! You can vote once per day, and each time you vote you’ll be entered for the chance to win a $500 Visa Gift Card or a $500 WWF Donation.
