Maize Harvest In An Inkan Terrace
Location: Sacred Valley, Peru
On an evening walk across Inkan terraces near Yucay, we encountered a woman returning home with her evening harvest. I found the contrast between the ancient stone terraces with cascading yellow flowers, the field on the left clearly harvested by tractor, and the life of hard manual labor encompassed in the woman's visage to be a rather striking composition.
