Species: Spotted Hyena | Location: Jacana Camp, Botswana
Our guide Alex found a hyena den. Upon our arrival, a big group of them came out to observe their visitors. This youngster came "up close and personal."
A few minutes later a yearling male ambled over to the left rear wheel of our Land Cruiser, just below me, and was doing something there for a while. Turns out he had removed the cap for the center grease fitting and started playing "keep away" all around the den with the other teenagers.
