About The Photographer

David A. Carr AIA, Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a retired architect who is focused on architectural and nature photography. I am primarily self-taught and particularly enjoy the challenge of working with details and reflections to provide a different perspective of the subject matter. My vision has been developed over 45 years of architectural practice and an almost lifelong interest in photography. I have taken the photography classes on my Galapagos, Machu Picchu and Amazon Basin river trips. I was selected to exhibit my photos of Cuba in the 19th Annual FotoNostrum Pollux Awards and have been selected for this year’s 20th FotoNostrum Annual Pollux awards consisting of two series, one of the live birth of a spotted hyena and one of a hippo fight.
