Species: Elephant | Location: Jacana Camp, Okavango Delta, Botswana, Botswana
This massive bull elephant was eagerly munching on hearts of palm trees. They uproot the small trees, then use their trunks and feet to separate the edible portion. This palm diet makes their feces extremely fibrous. When dried, it is used in the camps to line the walkways, resulting in an almost carpet like pathway.
