There is nothing more intimate than a mother and her cub nursing. The mother must be totally at ease with us as she allows herself to be vulnerable exposed and relaxed as her cub enjoys his evening meal. Moments to cherish.
About The Photographer

Born and raised in Jamaica to British Parents. Served in the British Army as an infantry officer. Moved to US in 1987 and has worked in professional golf and sports for 38 years.
Started taking pictures in 1976 and focused on people, travel, sports and photojournalism. Took my first underwater pictures in 2006 and now focus on UW, Wildlife and Landscape Photography.
I have been a finalist three times in the BBC & London’s Natural History Museum “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” competition. Been published by National Wildlife Federation, North America Nature Photographers Association and the “American Society of Media Photographers”
In January I was a runner up and Judges Choice winner in the North American Nature Photographers Association 2024 Annual competition and Top 24 Showcase. On this occasion I was honored to be the only photographer with two awarded images in the Top 24 Showcase. In June of 2024 I was announced as the Winner in the Wildlife Category Series in American Society of Media Photographers Annual Showcase competition.
My goal is capture and create images that connect people with nature so that they will care more about things they may have or will never see.
