We awoke early with the intention of trying to capture bears in the sunrise of a low tide in Chinitna Bay. We had the sunrise but there were no bears. As the sun peaked over the horizon the storm clouds moved down from the mountains to the West and the beach came alive with a rainbow. Patiently we waited for a distant bear to walk into or under the rainbow before the it disappeared. Within seconds of the bear passing at the perfect moment the rainbow was gone, the skies darkened and the color and light was lost. But forever we had "Some Bear Over the Rainbow"
