Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest

Location: Gomoti, Botswana

After encountering a pride of lions one morning, we got to sit for quite awhile and observe their behavior. The males watched over the young while the females hunted for breakfast. The cubs were like human kids, getting into loads of mischief. The duo in my photo are grooming each other and the one on the receiving end seems to be tickled with amusement.

About The Photographer

I've been a veterinarian for the past 20 years and only occasionally dabbled in landscape photography. During the pandemic, I started photographing hummingbirds at my bird feeders and then ventured out to local parks to photograph the wildlife. At this point, I would have to say my two favorite hobbies are travel and photography, which is how I ended up on Nat Hab trips!
