Species: Mountain Gorilla | Location: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, United States Of America
We were lucky to encounter the Habinyanja Group in a clearing in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwestern Uganda, but we were ecstatic to find a baby gorilla just a few months old with the family. For most of our time there the baby was held by the mother gorilla or one of the other females. This picture captures the baby exploring the world on her own for a brief period before being scooped up again by her mother.
