Bald Eagle Swooping Down

We photographed this bald eagle on the shores of Kachemak Bay in Homer, Alaska before we left for Lake Clark National Park. It circled over us several times before swooping down, its talons outstretched, seemingly to catch a fish. At the last minute, it veered off, empty taloned.
