Species: Mountain Gorilla | Location: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Area, Uganda
This young gorilla was in a meadow surrounded by native plants that they were enjoying for snack time. The group of gorillas included a silverback aged 24, one blackback around 8 or 9, one youngster aged 4 and 3 females. He seemed intent on looking at something at the time I took the photo. I was less than 20 feet away at the time. An incredible moment to be sure captured for me to enjoy forever.

My favorite traveling includes taking pictures of animals. I am no professional but have been enjoying my different nikons for over 50 years. Taking the photos and meeting all the wonderful people on the trips is such a enormous treat and I am grateful that I have been doing this for so long. From being the high school photographer to taking these safari's at age 72 I am truly blessed. Thank you Nat Hab for a unforgettable trip.
