Species: Cheetah | Location: Okavango Delta, Botswana
This photograph was taken on the Secluded Botswana expedition. The cheetah mother and her cub were resting, in the heat of the day. However, they were still both incredibly alert and focused on what they observed in their surroundings. And of course, the family resemblance is remarkable!
About The Photographer
When I was a teenager, my first camera was analogue, with only a manual meter...the lack of advanced technology forced me to fully understand the way that aperture, shutter speed, and ISO (back then called ASA) are related. Years later, cameras have dramatically changed, but the function of photography in my life has not. Photography, to me, is an important way to engage with and be immersed by life experiences, a way to look deeply, examine details, understand environments, and of course be aware of the position of the sun as our tiny planet makes its daily revolution.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards!
