Empty Den
Location: Churchill, Canada
In the early hours of our day on the tundra, we saw a young bear in this snow den. It was hard to get good pictures of it due to the darkness and falling snow. However, on the way back to base in the late afternoon, we passed the same site. The tracks leading away from the den told the whole story.
