Guana, In Her Kitchen
Location: Maras, Peru
Our guide, Francis, took us to the village of Maras, Peru. As we wandered the streets, he noticed that there was a sign out letting the villagers know that fresh corn beer was ready to be served. We met Guana, the brewer, who took us into her kitchen to tell us about how she makes her beer. The only light was coming in a small window, illuminating half of her face.
