Clash Of The Titans
Species: Jaguar, Giant River Otter | Location: Pantanal, Brazil
This was an epic sighting. Following a family of Giant otters we watched as a mom emerged from her den and greeted her family. She jumped up on a log nearby and within seconds a jaguar was leaping down to grab her. Her family tried to fight back, as you can see from the photo they were valiantly trying to save her, but the jaguar won. The tangle of water, vines, as well as the screeching of the river otters is a memory that I will carry with me for a long time.
