Species: Oxpeckers And Water Buffalo | Location: Ngamiland Delta, Botswana
The photo shows four Oxpeckers on the back of the Water Buffalo in a symbiotic relationship where the birds eat ticks and mites off the Water Buffalo and sustain themselves in the process while removing the pesky bugs from the skin of the big mammal. The Oxpecker appears to be saying “excuse me Ms Water Buffalo but you have dirt on your horn! “
