Location: Sichuan, China
Our group was walking through the village of Qing Xi which was a place made for all sorts of photos. The residents are Muslims whose ancestors migrated along the Silk Road. It is exotic and romantic. I was trying to get pictures of the residents - who were very happy to oblige the Western Lady with the camera. This little boy was just sitting outside his parents shop have a great time looking at the Westerners (we were the first trip Nat Hab took to China after the pandemic, so we were definitely considered oddities). I just loved how happy he was to be sitting out there.
About The Photographer
I'm strictly amateur. No fancy cameras because I refuse to haul pounds of camera lenses. So, I use a Canon SX-70 and try all the features on it. My goal is to capture shots that will remind me of the trips I took - people, animals (mostly), and sometimes just landscapes that are beautiful. I've been doing this for years and hope to keep going as long as I can.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards! You can vote once per day, and each time you vote you’ll be entered for the chance to win a $500 Visa Gift Card or a $500 WWF Donation.
