Species: Hooded Vulture | Location: Linyanti Camp, Botswana
We were on safari in Botswana and were observing two male lions feasting on an African Buffalo. Vultures and other birds were attempting to get their "fair share" of the feast. This Hooded Vulture came soaring in close to the dinner table and I was able to get a photo as it was starting to land close by. The lions did not appreciate the closeness and quickly "shooed" the vulture away. An amazing scene to watch these magnificent animals in their natural habitat and to witness their interactions.
